Missing workIf your child is missing work, it usually is for the following reasons:
- It was forgotten at school - It was forgotten at home the day it was due - It was lost in a desk, locker, etc. - It was passed in without a name (thrown out) - It was not completed or only half completed Extra copies of worksheets are found in the file cabinet. Students may look for sheets during homeroom & dismissal. |
Absent WorkIf your child was absent...
Classwork & homework are stapled and placed (with their name on them) in a folder. If he/she is in my homeroom, the papers are placed in the child's mailbox. The student has extra time to complete work without losing credit. Every day that the student was absent = the amount of extra days given to complete work. For example: Howard was absent 2 days - he now gets an extra 2 days to make up his missing work. He still gets full credit for the assignments. If Howard decides to take a week to make up the work, his work is now considered LATE. |
